AutoCAD Locator is a widget of the AutoCAD .NET Addin Widget group of AutoCAD .NET Addin Wizard (AcadNetAddinWizard). It can be found from the menu group of AutoCAD .NET Addin Widget under the Tools main menu or the toolbar:
After the AutoCAD Locator menu item or toolbar button is cliecked, the AutoCAD Locator window will pup up:
All installed AutoCAD versions and flavors are listed out in the Product combo box. When one is chosen, its detailed information, both for internal purposes such as Major Version, Minor Version and X64 bitness and for display purposes such as the well known yearly Version Name and the Language, will be displayed in the nice dialog. The most important of all, the location of the AutoCAD product is also shown at the bottom, and if the Locate button is pressed, a Windows Explorer will be opened up and navigated to the particular location of the AutoCAD of interest immediately and automatically so that some config files can be opened, checked and modified or something like that when necessary.
The leading edge AutoCAD .NET Addin Wizard (AcadNetAddinWizard) also provides some cool widgets to facilitate the development work using AutoCAD .NET API.
Learn about AutoCAD.Net Adin. Is it so that location of AutoCAD product also is displayed?

Not sure what you exactly meant.
Anyway, the fact about the widget is that all available AutoCAD products regardless versions or flavors will be listed out in the Product combo box in the AutoCAD Locator dialog. When one is selected, its detailed information including the Installation Location will be displayed in the dialog too. And when the Locate button is pressed, the Windows Explorer will be opened and navigated to the location/folder automatically.
By the way, this widget has nothing to do with real coding work, but it can help you find the location (more specifically the acad.exe) of the AutoCAD of your concern in a second. Then you can check whether something is missing there or configure something (e.g. in the acad.exe.config) if necessary.
Hope this explains.
